Time has come for 'accountability' from developed countries on climate action: Gautam Adani

Referring to a recent CVF report, Adani said India, Indonesia, the UK and Switzerland are fully compliant with the rules of climate action and are on track to meet the targets set in the 'Paris Agreement'.

Adani Group founder and chairman Gautam Adani has said the time has come to demand "accountable action" from developed countries on climate action from the Global South. Referring to a recent CVF report, Adani said India, Indonesia, the UK and Switzerland are fully compliant with the rules of climate action and are on track to meet the targets set in the Paris Agreement. Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani posted on social media platform X (earlier Twitter), "India has shined in the recent CVF report. India is on track to the goals of the Paris Agreement and is among the top 4 economies. India's per capita emissions are a quarter of the G7. Our climate efforts are united for one earth, one family, one future. The time has come to demand fair and reasonable action from developed countries for the Global South.
